WELCOME TO MULTICULTURAL AGED CARE
Celebrating life, Communities & Culture
On behalf of the Board of Directors, Management, Staff and Residents we wish to welcome you to the Multicultural Aged Care Illawarra website.
Multicultural Aged Care Illawarra is a not-for-profit aged care and retirement services provider within the Illawarra region who has been providing care and support for older people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds since 1989.
ABOUT US
“We are a boutique aged care provider catering especially to the needs of those who’ve come from lands afar and have made Australia their home.
Ours is a unique facility that is open, welcoming and can offer either interactive engagement in a vibrant community or the peace and tranquillity you are looking for with exceptionally caring multi-lingual staff to support you.
Our residents enjoy regular outings, access to a pool of visiting health professionals including medical, chiropractic, podiatry and physiotherapy services, newspapers and television in a range of languages, varied weekly activities and home-cooked cuisine.
Established in 1988, we are committed to support, empower and advocate for the diverse range of residents originally from 23 European and other countries, and enrich their cultural experience of living in a multicultural society.
Announced in October 2022, local aged care provider Warrigal progressed alongside MACI with a merger to ensure the MACI Warrawong care home and village remained operational, and will fully become a subsidiary of Warrigal as of April 1, 2023.”
