Stephen Beard – Chief Executive Officer

BCom (Accy), GradDipCA

Steve started his career in public accounting working for several regional Chartered Accounting firms.  Involved predominantly in providing business services, he learned very early on in his career the value of, and success of customer service focused businesses.  Steve went on to prove the value of what he had learned when he moved into his own small printing business.  This business went on to win the coveted Illawarra Business of the Year.  Steve had the opportunity to move into the not-for-profit world when he sold his business to a local disability service provider, The Flagstaff Group.  Shortly after selling the business, he was appointed to the CEO of the group and has worked in various executive and consulting roles in disability and aged care for the last 16 years.  For the last 5 years he has worked with Warrigal Care in Executive roles covering finance, customer relations, human resources, IT, innovation and more recently in mergers and acquisitions.  Steve is looking forward to working with the great staff at MACI to align the organisation with the customer service priorities that the new aged care service delivery models will begin to prioritise over the coming years.  

Stephanie Clingan – General Manager

Bachelor of Arts – Communications (UOW); Bachelor of Arts – Psychology (UOW); Master of Public Health with Distinction (UOW)

Stephanie is MACI’s General Manager and holds qualifications in Public Health, Communications and Psychology. Stephanie has extensive experience in managing risk for vulnerable populations within the public and private sectors together with research and practical experience from within the fields of psychology, public health, and epidemiology. Stephanie coordinates projects aimed at improving the operational efficiency and risk management of MACI alongside overseeing the policy framework, processes, and systems to ensure compliance with the Aged Care Standards, resident engagement and the provision of person centered care.

Jamie-Lee Steele – Quality and Complaints Resolution Manager

Jamie-Lee has considerable experience in the areas of accreditation of aged care services and sees the importance of listening to feedback from residents and their families as the cornerstone of providing person centered care. Jamie-Lee possesses a high level of clinical knowledge, has experience as a nurse advisor to the sector and engages effectively in building teams to ensure that residents’ needs and preferences are met. Jamie Lee supports MACI in their mission and vision that is committed to the provision of diverse, individualised care, that is inclusive of residents and their significant others

Yang Wang – Senior Clinical Lead

Bachelor of Nursing (Latrobe), Master Nursing (UOW), Master Science: Dementia Care (UOW), Advanced Diploma of Business Marketing (MIFM), Advanced Diploma of Translating (SIIT), Certificate IV Leadership and Management (WVI)

Yang Wang comes to MACI with a myriad of qualifications reflecting substantial knowledge of the aged care and nursing sectors. Yang’s study has afforded her an excellent understanding of traditional nursing practices, caring values, new technology underpinned by leadership and management skills. Yang is a vibrant competent leader who engages in resident focus with a willingness to learn and progress resident engagement across all levels. Along with great enthusiasm, her positive outlook, determination, Yang has a genuine commitment to person centered care.

Klaudia Dawson – Human Resource Officer

Advanced Cert Personnel Mgmt; Cert IV Frontline Mgmt

Klaudia has many years experience in Human Resources and Personnel Management in the Finance and Banking Industry as well as the residential aged care sector at MACI. Klaudia is dedicated to ensuring fair processes, diversity and equity in the workplace and works tirelessly to support the numerous levels and types of staff that are required in the delivery of individualised person centred care at MACI
